The system is developed for tracking of thrones in the city
In Tomsk the state university of control systems and radio electronics (ТУСУР) the technology which, allegedly, will essentially simplify tracking of flights of thrones in city conditions at small height is developed.
As scientists explain, a passive radar is necessary for tracking BPLA in settlements. Such installations, unlike active stations, do not "pollute" space additional radiation. If traditional active locators determine object coordinates by the reflected signal which radiate, the passive system uses for this purpose a set of signals of foreign sources which are reflected from the radar-tracking purpose: transmitters of cellular communication, broadcasting, digital TV, etc.
But the problem is that in these numerous signals it is necessary to allocate a useful signal, often very weak, reflected from the radar-tracking purpose being far (to several tens kilometers) from the receiver. And those signals which block useful, can surpass it in capacity in hundreds thousands times.
Development ТУСУР represents system of active compensation for radars of the continuous radiation which principles of work are similar to the development applied to perspective systems of polnodupleksny communication of the fifth generation 5G. The offered decision allows to reduce capacity of signals hindrances more than in 800 times (to thirty decibels).
«Suppression of powerful parasitic signals occurs directly at the moment of signal reception, already on an entrance of the analog-digital converter the capacity of such hindrance considerably decreases. It reduces requirements to a dynamic range of the analog-digital converter and a reception path», – scientists explain.
Thus, the system can be established on any radar: not only passive, but also active, regardless of its technical characteristics. Development will allow to receive a considerable gain in range of action of the whole class of radar-tracking systems. Besides tracking of flight of thrones, the novelty will be useful at creation of the radar applied in navigation, protection of perimeter, vysotomer – where it is important to see objects at distance from tens centimeters to several kilometers.
