Tu-160 will equip with self-repaired electronics

The representative of concern «Radio-electronic technologies» Vladimir Mikheyev reported that in new updating of a strategic rocket carrier of Tu-160М2 the principle of integrated and modular avionics allowing components of onboard electronics to replace and restore each other will be used.

«In Tu-160М2 each electronic block of the plane will be capable to prosecute if necessary all subjects – for example, the complex of electronic fight can carry out a role to assume functions of other control systems. That is, if one of computers failed, the system allows to switch resources of all plane to the solution of this problem», – gives his words «Russian newspaper».

Earlier need of renewal of production of strategic rocket carriers of Tu-160 was declared by the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoygu. There were messages later that the aircraft factory in Kazan will be engaged in production of deeply modernized option of a rocket carrier. The deputy minister of defense on arms Yury Borisov noted that its fighting efficiency will be higher, than at the predecessor in 2.5 times.

The first modernized rocket carriers will arrive in armies in 2021.
