Tokyo demanded from Moscow of explanations because of incident with plane

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan declared a protest to the Russian embassy in Tokyo. The Japanese authorities demanded from Moscow to investigate incident with plane which allegedly broke air space of the Asian country, and to give the corresponding answer. About it reports TASS referring to the ministry press service.

In embassy of Russia confirmed that from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan the address on the matter arrived.

According to the Tokyo version, on Tuesday, September 16, the Russian plane broke air space of Japan near the peninsula Nemuro (island of Hokkaido). On interception four fighters were lifted. The plane was in Japanese air space some seconds. The board was not identified, however, despite it, in Tokyo expressed opinion that it belongs to the Russian Federation.

Nemuro’s peninsula is in 30 kilometers from the Russian island of Kunashir.

In the middle of April the Japanese Air Force declared about record since cold war level of activity of the Russian military aircraft in the north at the border and Chinese – in the south. In a year Japanese 944 times lifted fighters for interception of foreign military boards. It for 16 percent more than year before.
