Liquid Oxygen Tank
The liquid oxygen (LOX) tank is an ellipsoidal container 22 feet high and fabricated from ellipsoidalshaped top and aft halves. The top half of the LOX tank is known as the common bulkhead and is actually two bulkheads separated by phenolic honeycomb insulation and bonded together to form both the upper portion of the liquid oxygen tank and the lower portion of the liquid hydrogen tank.
