The airline of China stops flights over the Caspian Sea
The Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific suspended flights over Iran and the Caspian Sea, following preventions of the European agency on safety of flights.
According to South China Morning Post, the International Civil Aviation Organization and the European agency of aviation safety issued bulletins in which it is told about strengthening of military activity in the region last week. According to an air carrier, in the received instruction «there were no concrete recommendations for carriers» at the moment of delivery.
Except Cathay Pacific some more airlines, including Air France, reported that they also stop flights over the Caspian Sea, Iraq and Iran, having changed routes so that they lay far away from a zone of hostilities. Over the region which air space is found dangerous, brisk routes from Europe to Asia and to the Middle East lie. If this air passage is recognized unsafe or under exceptional circumstances their use becomes impossible, these restrictions is mentioned to 800 flights in day.
Let’s remind that the Ministry of Defence of Russia reported on October 7 about start of cruise missiles on the purposes in Syria from the water area of the Caspian Sea. In defensive department emphasized that rockets flew by over the territory of Iran and Iraq and struck the set purposes to within 3 meters.
