NI: out-of-date appearance of Su-24 – a thing deceptive

The bomber with a wing of a changeable strelovidnost of Su-24 – the checked fighting vehicle which is capable to provide to the Russian aviagroup in Syria efficiency of distant shock operations, is told in article published in the National Interest magazine. The translation of article gives RIA Novosti news agency.

«On some Su-24 parameters (on codification of NATO of Fencer, "Fencer") can appear for carrying out operations even more useful, than the multipurpose strike fighter of Su-34 drawing general attention», – is written by the author of the publication.

He notes that «despite out-of-date design of Su-24 (this plane was developed in the 1960th years), Russia carried out modernization of park of these bombers and equipped them with modern systems».

«So, modernized Su-24 has a glass cabin, systems of satellite navigation of GLONASS, system of indication of indications of devices on a windshield and self-defenses "air-air". Aboard there can be guided missiles of the class "air-air" of small radius of action R-73. Besides, the bomber can transfer high-precision operated ammunition», – the author reports.

According to the magazine, «the maximum fighting loading of the plane makes 7500 kg, fighting radius of Su-24 – 560 km, and the last updatings are equipped with air refueling system». The plane is capable to strike blows to the purposes at small heights.

Besides, in Syria Su-24 can be used for carrying out prospecting operations.

Su-24 in days can rise to 30 times, «however it is not known, how many the pilots, capable to operate by these cars, is on air base in Latakia and as technical support of planes» is provided, the author notes.

According to the magazine, these planes «in the future will be replaced with Su-34, however the Russian bombers with semicentenial history still represent an effective remedy for defeat of the purposes which are on a distant distance from air base in Latakia».
