The Pentagon showed pictures of the Russian planes in Syria

The Pentagon published satellite pictures which, according to the American military, prove existence of the Russian planes in Syria. About it reports ABC News.

On the published photos the planes built in a row in airfield near the Syrian Latakia are visible. The American military identified them as the fighters Su-30CM and attack planes of Su-25. Everything, according to the Pentagon, Russia during the last days in addition to four Su-30CM which have arrived earlier threw to Syria 24 planes – 12 Su-25 and the same quantity of the front Su-24 bombers. Also in Syria now there are 15 helicopters Mi-17 and Mi-24.

Besides, as argue in Washington, Russian cargo An-124 almost daily unload in Latakia: according to the American satellite shooting, in airfield 36 armoured cars, nine tanks and two air defenses systems are noticed, and in the sky over Syria bespilotnik conduct active investigation. Russia while in any way does not make comments on this information.

At the same time to Syria there arrived the second group of fighters of the opposition, had training preparation on the American military bases – in total 71 persons. According to the American officials, they will battle against forces of «The Islamic state» (YOKES). In total it was planned to prepare in a year 5,4 thousand people. Last week US military men reported to the congress about implementation of the program: according to general Lloyd Ostina, from 54 people sent to Syria as a part of the first group, only four or five continue to battle against YOKES.

On Thursday, September 17, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria Waleed Muallem declared that Damascus can ask if necessary participations of Armed forces of Russia in joint fight against terrorism. In the Kremlin promised to consider such request if it arrives.

The American officials repeatedly declared that Russia increases the military presence at Syria, and expressed concern concerning strengthening of support of the Syrian president Bashar Assad by Moscow.

Civil war in Syria began spring of 2011. The death toll exceeded 230 thousand people, number of refugees – 11,5 million. Rebels support Assad’s overthrow. The part of the territory of the country was grasped by the terrorist organization «Islamic state» (YOKES) which activity is forbidden in Russia. The international coalition led by the USA puts air strikes on positions of YOKES.
