Greece refused to the USA in request to close the sky for planes of the Russian Federation

The embassy of the USA in Greece was refused on the request to close air space of Athens for the Russian planes with humanitarian assistance of Syria.

"On Saturday the embassy of the USA addressed to the office government of Greece with a request to forbid flight of the Russian planes in FIR Athens. The government of Greece refused to make it not to worsen the relation with Russia", – quotes RIA Novosti news agency a diplomatic source in Athens.

According to the diplomat, the Kremlin obtained permit to flights for transportation of humanitarian assistance to Syria from September 1 to September 24.
