MAX-2015 wins the Asian markets

The aerospace salon MAX-2015 promises to become a platform for the conclusion of contracts which for quite some time now cannot be signed in Europe. I will remind, this year the Ministry of Defence of Russia limited the sizes of delegation on an air show in Farnborough. And Englishmen in general decided not to invite to themselves on exhibitions the Russian companies.

At wishing to estimate advantage of the Russian military equipment there were not so many options, and the most correct, naturally, – to go behind our equipment directly to Russia.

At this moment usually there are various sceptics who undertake to argue as if the Russian equipment is not necessary to anybody, anybody in Europe will not buy it, and all MAX – no more than a facade, urged to hide plunder in especially large sizes.

On the one hand, the first day of an exhibition showed that the Russian and European companies have directions for close cooperation. So, for example, the French firm "Airbus Defence and Space" signed with our JSC Rossiyskiye kosmicheskiye sistemy the contract on equipment coproduction for satellites.

On the other hand, sensible grain in this statement nevertheless is. In Europe own producers of warplanes really suffice. However, many prefer not to load orders the European aircraft factories, and to address to the checked supplier from that coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

So, for example, Great Britain, despite quite developed aircraft industry, ordered in the United States 14 fighters of the fifth generation of F-35B Lightning II with the truncated take-off for acquisition of a new aircraft carrier of "Queen Elizabeth". Cost of the contract is estimated at 3,9 billion US dollars. It honor on 280 million for the plane. And all the contract means purchase of 48 fighters as the first aircraft carrier is followed by the second: "Prince of Wales".
Delivery of the first four planes should occur in 2016, and other ten in the 2018th. When all contract will be executed – it is not known. As, however, it is not known, whether Britain will pull astronomical cost of these planes.

But Englishmen have no exit, they are connected by rigid rules of NATO which do not allow to use arms and the equipment, not answering to block standards. Naturally, production of the Russian OPK will not correspond to these standards, while Americans in a condition to promise to make everything ordered.

But on what then to hope to our producers? After all, except the USA and Great Britain, in North Atlantic Alliance almost all Europe consists. For the answer to this question it is enough to look at the chart displaying number of planes as a part of the Air Force of the different countries.

As we see, the first ten includes the United States of which share nearly 27 % from all park of military planes of the world are the share. For the USA with a considerable separation there is Russia. And further eight countries from which only France and Turkey are a part of Europe follow. And Frenchmen almost completely provide the needs for warplanes with own forces. Foreign cars in the French Air Force are presented only among transport and special planes. Thus Frenchmen became our partners in the agreement about which it was told above.

Thus, it becomes clear that the European market is not so much closed for Russia, how many is absent as that. But our planes are very demanded in the countries of Asia and in the Middle East.

Let’s look at other chart:

It shows quantity of the most popular warplanes in planet armies. It is quite expected leading positions occupy planes of the American production. However here backlog of Russia is much less. If in total of winged cars our share only about 6 % against 27 % at Americans, here figures already 19 % and 28 % respectively. It testifies to regular sale of the Russian planes abroad. At the same time the considerable part of the American planes consists on arms directly armies of the USA.

Similar situation on fighting and military transport helicopters. The United States possess 30,6 % from the general park of military rotary-wing vehicles, and a share of helicopters of the American origin in armies of all countries about 41 %. At the same time the Russian cars occupy 17 % of world park of military helicopters, and directly in our army only 5,6 % are registered. It is easy to notice that a share of the military helicopters sold under the counter from total at Russia and the USA the almost equal.

It is necessary to look only, what countries from among the main holders of military planes and helicopters have appreciable aircraft manufacturing capacities. The USA and Russia – clear business. Still France, China, Italy, partially India and with a big stretch Japan. And Japan because of the restrictions imposed following the results of World War II, lags behind in production of military equipment a little, and India is engaged generally in otvertochny assembly from import vehicle sets.

But even China which provides itself with warplanes for 89 %, buys and plans to buy the most advanced cars in Russia. So, within an air show MAX-2015 the main thing an intrigue was, whether the long history with the contract for delivery of the People’s Republic of China of 24 fighters Su-35C will come to the end. Today news about it in mass media did not arrive, but it is possible to be sure that after direct demonstration of possibilities of our planes chances that the contract will be already signed during Vladimir Putin’s visit to China on September 2-3, considerably increase.

Thus, the main buyer domestic military aeromechanics remain the Asian countries. And, judging by a large number of the Russian cars in armies of other states, the capacity of the market of spare parts and updatings is great.

Quite recently a lot of noise on the Internet the phrase of the American military analyst Pierre Spreya that F-35 will suffer inevitable defeat even from the old man MiG-21 did. In this phrase, of course, a fair share of shocking. However, considering possibilities of updating of this supersonic hit of destructive aircraft and quantity functioned "twenty first", it is possible to assume surely that we are expected by new and new contracts on modernization of these nice fighting vehicles.
