The Ministry of Defence called number of aviagroup in Syria

The structure of aviation group of Aerospace forces of Russia which strikes blows to objects of the international terrorist group «Islamic state» in the territory of Syria, included more than 50 planes and helicopters. It was declared by the representative of the Ministry of Defence Igor Konashenkov, reports "Interfax".

«The aviation group was developed in the shortest terms. We could make it as the main stocks of appliances and ammunition were available in material support point in Tartusa. It was necessary to transfer only aircraft and to bring up some equipment», – Konashenkov explained.

During the second half of September a number of photos on which VKS planes of Russia in vicinities of the Syrian airfield Hmeymim near Latakia were fixed was published. As a part of aviagroup 12 front Su-24M bombers, 12 attack planes of Su-25CM, four fighters Su-30CM and six Su-34 bombers, and also helicopters Mi-24 and Mi-8 were found.

Operation of the Russian aircraft in Syria began on September 30. In the evening on the same day in the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation reported that planes made about 20 departures and struck dot blows to eight objects of «The Islamic state». In military department noted that it was possible to kill command points of management of fighters of YOKES in the mountain district, warehouses of ammunition, arms, combustive-lubricating materials and a congestion of military equipment are also struck.

On the night of October 1 four more objects of Islamists, among them a staff of terrorist formations and a warehouse of ammunition near the city of Idlib, and also the three-level strengthened command point of fighters near the settlement of the Boor underwent blows. Besides, the plant on manufacturing of explosives and ammunition to the north of the city of Homs where cars were filled with explosive was completely destroyed and then were used for carrying out acts of terrorism.

On September 30 the president of Russia Vladimir Putin made in the Federation Council the offer on VS use outside of Russia. Senators unanimously voted for it. With a request for rendering of the military help for counteraction of YOKES (activity of this terrorist organization in Russia is forbidden) to Moscow the Syrian leader Bashar Assad addressed.
