Kerry: the Russian plane

had the right to bring down the Turkish authorities

US Secretary of State John Kerri declared that violation of Turkish air space by the Russian military plane could provoke serious escalation of intensity. As transfers to BNS, the American diplomat made such statement during working visit to Chile.

"We are seriously concerned it (incident – by an editor’s note) because if Turkey answered according to the right to it, the plane could be brought down", – emphasized Kerry.

Earlier today the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey called the ambassador of Russia in Ankara to make a protest in connection with violation of Turkish border by the Russian military plane. According to the statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, the plane broke air space of the country on October 3 around Syrian-Turkish border. Two fighters F-16 Air Force of Turkey were directed on interception of the plane.

Mass media referring to Turkish military sources added that the mistake in navigation could become a cause of infringement by the Russian plane of Turkish air space.
