In Boeing made the plane with harmonious wings

Passenger planes constantly increase in the sizes that allows to transport more people and to save on flight. However not all airports are capable to accept big airliners. The Boeing company found the solution of this problem, having offered 777-9x with put wings.

The new Boeing 777-9x plane has wingspan of 71,8 meters. For descriptive reasons CNN suggests to imagine four 16-meter waggons built in one row.

The put site of a wing of a two-engined airliner makes 3,65 meters. The technology allows the plane to move freely within the airport. In flight wings are reliably fixed by special locks.

The increased wingspan allocates the plane with additional carrying power and increases efficiency of fuel consumption in comparison with Airbus A350-1000. The company argues that 777-9x less fuel, than his competitor consumes for 12 percent.

Wings of the plane will be made of the plastic reinforced by carbon fiber. Production will be conducted at Boeing plant in the city of Everett, the State of Washington.

It is reported that Boeing 777-9x can place at least 400 passengers – its salon on 40 centimeters will be wider than A350 salon. Besides, the increased area of a glazing will improve a view from plane windows.

Elements of GE Aviation GE9X engines will be made on technology of the 3D-press.

Boeing says that six air carriers, including Emirates, Cathay Pacific and Luthansa, already ordered to themselves 320 such planes. Production 777-9 starts in 2017. Deliveries of the world’s largest airliner with put wings are planned for 2020.
