Su-30СМ patrol the sky of Syria with the outdate rocket weapon

Along with shock aircraft in the form of attack planes of Su-25, the bombers Su-24M and Su-34 the Russian VKS in Syria apply latest Su-30CM to patrol of air space. This supermaneuverable plane is considered now one of the best in the world.

Its export options consist on arms of Algeria, Malaysia and India. In the last the mass production of this fighter which is considered pride of the Indian military and air forces is adjusted. Pilots of the Indian Air Force by these cars regularly participate in educational air fights with the colleagues from NATO countries, and there was no case that Hindus lost.

Now the Su-30CM plane "Irkut Corporation" lets out for the Russian aerospace forces. The fighter is finished under requirements of our military. He is equipped with powerful radar station with the phased antenna lattice, allowing to find the purpose both on the earth, and in air.

The plane is calculated on use of the most modern high-precision weapon and consequently in many military experts caused bewilderment that in the Syrian sky ours of "drying" patrol with outdate rockets of the class "Air-air" R-27ER, by the way, let out once in Ukraine.

The matter is that now in the Air Force of the main countries of NATO, and also the states of the Middle East and the People’s Republic of China, the rockets of new generation having so-called active heads of homing arrive, allowing to operate by a principle "shot-forgot".
R-27ER has a semi-active radar-tracking head of homing, and it means that till defeat of the enemy aircraft radiation by its locator of Su-30CM is necessary.

It should be noted that R-27 options after their participation in the local conflicts repeatedly were exposed to criticism, for insufficient efficiency. Certainly, it was a question of export samples, but available defects, in the most part, are characteristic and for the rockets which have been let out for "internal consumption".

Besides, the same NATO officials thanks to Ukrainians and the former countries of the Warsaw pact had possibilities well to study these means of defeat.

Due to the application in Syria these rockets, it should be noted that the domestic defensive industry of the rocket of the new generation, capable to replace old, are created already more than 20 years ago. They, by the way, were delivered for export to India, Algeria, China and Venezuela.

In recent years the new updatings possessing much higher characteristics, in anything not conceding, and in many respects surpassing best foreign samples are developed and successfully tested. However, seemingly, these rockets did not reach front parts yet.

Therefore in such situation our Russian fighter it is possible to compare to the mighty athlete at whom in a sheath the become blunted sword lies, and application in fighting conditions not absolutely effective weapon it is fraught with unpredictable consequences.
