Turkish military complained of unknown MiG-29

The unknown fighter MiG-29 around Syrian-Turkish border grasped two Turkish F-16 planes as the purpose. It declared in the Turkish General Staff, reports TASS.

«Ten F-16 planes [the belonging Air Force of Turkey] carried out patrol around the Turkish-Syrian border. During performance of this task the plane MiG-29 with unstated state accessory within five minutes and 40 seconds held on a sight of the radar two ours F-16», – told in the General Staff.

Incident occurred on October 4, military department of Turkey did not provide other details. The agency notes that allegedly MiG-29 was in air space of Syria and did not break Turkish border.

As a part of the Russian aviagroup developed in Syria for fight against terrorists «Islamic state» (it is forbidden in the Russian Federation), MiG-29 is not present planes. These fighters, however, are been armed by the Air Force of Syria and Iran.

Earlier, on October 5, it became known that called the Russian ambassador in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and made a protest in connection with violation of air borders of Turkey. As Ankara, on October 3 near the city of Yayladagy in the southern province Hatay which borders on Syria argues, two Air Force of Turkey patrolling this region F-16 found the Russian plane. After interception he left Turkish air space in the direction of Syria. The embassy of Russia in Turkey confirmed the fact of incident, having specified that in Moscow the corresponding explanations concerning the happened were made to Turkish diplomats.
